FISHING REPORT MAY 7, 2022
I had two clients booked to kayak fish with me this weekend but they ended up having to cancel. Their loss! Today my buddy Josh and I hit one of the lakes I was planning on taking them to and within 3 hours we landed around 30 largemouths including three over nineteen. One beast measured 20 1/4 inches!
Tactics -Tips, and Lures
SLOW, SLOW, SLOW! I fished a underpin jig with a red/black skirt tipped with a black crawfish trailer. Josh stuck to a chatterbait tipped with a Z-man trailer. He stuck to very slow retrieves which proved to be too much for the big bucket-mouths to handle!
